Welcome to the VET Managers Pathways


These training paths are specifically designed for leaders and managers in Vocational Education and Training (VET) and Technical Higher Education (HE) institutions. They provide the knowledge and tools needed to drive internationalization within their organizations and create impactful collaborations across Europe.

By addressing critical areas such as funding, networking, and strategic implementation, these pathways enable VET managers to lead their institutions in developing innovative, globalized practices aligned with European policies and opportunities.

Each pathway focuses on a key aspect of leadership in internationalization:

  2. Creating Impact from European Collaboration Projects


Pathway 1: Leadership of VET and Technical HE Institutions for Internationalization

This pathway prepares VET managers to effectively utilize international funding, implement strategic projects, and build strong international networks. It includes three modules:

  • Understanding the Importance of EU Funding and Other International Instruments. Learn about international funding tools, the application and management processes, impact assessment, and emerging trends in EU funding.
  • Understanding the International Dimension in a Technical/Vocational Area. Explore EU funding specific to VET, project management and implementation, evaluation of impact, and future directions in VET funding.
  • Networking. Develop effective networking strategies, manage cross-cultural relationships, leverage EU resources, and create actionable networking plans.

Pathway 2: Creating Impact from European Collaboration Projects

This pathway guides managers in maximizing the impact of collaborative projects by focusing on strategic frameworks, implementation, and evaluation. It comprises four modules:

  • Collaborative Framework. Engage stakeholders, understand internationalization frameworks (at home and cross-border), and develop policies for impactful collaboration.
  • Internationalization Strategy Implementation. Explore strategies for university and HEI internationalization, learn implementation frameworks, and identify key facilitators.
  • Monitoring and Evaluation. Adopt quality management systems, process-based management, and monitoring tools for effective internationalization.
  • Measuring KPIs and Process Improvement. Focus on identifying key performance indicators, measurement and improvement techniques, evaluation approaches, and self-assessment tools.
